Sydney University Cricket Club is proud to boast a range of full-time, part-time, casual, 
contract and volunteer staff across both operations and coaching divisions.
These include a full-time Director of Cricket and Operations Manager, a part-time
Administrations Assistant, various specialist coaches, and match day volunteers.

Operations manager

Dale has over a decade of experience in the sporting industry covering facets such as governance, operations, development, media, marketing and grounds.

Dale is employed full-time at Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness as the Cricket Operations manager and is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Club are run effectively.

Sydney Uni Cricket has decided to employ a part-time Administration Assistant in 2016-17 to support the Operations Manager with crucial administration tasks.

The Club will announce the successful applicant for this role shortly.

Sydney Uni has decided to develop an honorary role of Match Day Coordinator to support the match day requirements for the Club's NSW Premier Cricket teams.

DIRECTOR OF CRICKET
GARY WHITAKER

Gary has a strong background in cricket in Sydney having played for Randwick for many years before taking on the full-time role of Director of Cricket at Sydney Uni in 2008/09. Gary's tenure at Sydney Uni has seen a Club Championship and multiple premierships.

Gary oversees the recruitment, retention, coaching and development programs at the Club. This sees Gary act as head coach for the Club, as well as for our Elite Athlete Program. 


BATTING COACH
GRANT LAMBERT

Grant is a former first class all-rounder with NSW and boast one of the greatest NSW Premier Cricket records in history with over 11,000 runs and 600 wickets. He is a two-time premiership winner, a three-time O'Reilly medallist, and a two-time Benaud medalist.

Grant has sinced moved into the coaching ranks and brings his experience, work ethic, competitiveness, and enthusiasm to the Club's batting ranks.

BOWLING TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
DR EDOUARD (RENE) FERDINANDS

Dr Rene Ferdinands is a world leading expert in cricket biomechanics and heads up numerous research projects at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Health Sciences.

Dr Ferdinands provides technical advice to the Club's bowlers with emphasis placed on safe and effective techniques for both pace and spin bowlers. 


VOLUNTEER ROLES

Leading into the 2016/17 NSW Premier Cricket season, the Club is looking to fill a range of volunteer roles that are crucial to the ongoing viability of the Club.

SCORERS
The Club is seeking interest in cricket scoring roles from 2nd Grade to 5th Grade, Metropolitan Cup, Poidevin-Gray Shield and A.W. Green Shield teams. The Club provides a range of benefits to our scorers including support to attend seminars/courses, lunches, travel costs and complimentary tickets to various Club events.

TEAM MANAGERS
The Club is seeking interest in team manager roles for all of our teams. Team managers will support the match day staff and team captains to ensure all requirements are handled effectively to allow the team to perform to the best of their ability. The Club provides a range of benefits to our managers including lunches, travel costs and complimentary tickets to Club events.

PHOTOGRAPHER
The Club is seeking interest from a suitable sport photographer to provide high-quality photographic services to the Club at match days, fundraising and social events. Anyone looking to gain further experience, or adding to their existing portfolio in sports photography should contact the Club. The Club provides a range of benefits including lunches, travel costs and complimentary tickets to all Club events.

TRAINING ASSISTANT
The Club is seeking an individual to assist the Director of Cricket at Club training sessions, particularly with the onsite coordination of players involved in net sessions, centre wicket sessions, indoor sessions and fielding sessions. The Club provides a range of benefits including travel costs and complimentary tickets to various Club events.
