In a round dominated by batsmen, Tim Ley's contribution with the ball in First Grade's win against Blacktown was a standout performance during Round 2 of the NSW McDonald's Premier Cricket competition, taking an impressive 6 wickets for 18 runs. Tim first played for Sydney Uni in 2004 and has since totalled an outstanding 468 wickets, placing him seventh on the list of all time wicket takers, closely shadowing teammate Tom Kierath on 474.
Tim's bowling abilities have greatly contributed to the team's success as a standout quick in the competition. His commitment to the team and determination will continue to lead the bowling attack throughout the rest of the 2017-18 season.

Josh Toyer's commitment to Sydney Uni Cricket Club throughout the 2017-18 season has been second to none. As a well-loved club member and teammate, Josh generously volunteered to score for Third Grade whilst out with an injury during the opening round and has also assisted with multiple operational tasks off the field.
Josh has also volunteered as the Club's delegate to the Sydney Cricket Association for 2017-18, which gives him a role on Sydney Uni Cricket Club's board, demonstrating his ongoing passion and commitment to the sport.
